Here is a humorous journal article from the University of Maryland dated 1988. The paper argues that mainstream economic methodology is inappropriate - e.g. farmers do not really solve the complicated differential equations to maximize utility. I do not know if the author leans toward to Austrian school or not, but his argument is well aligned with Austrians who have argued for decades that economic methodology should be based on logical deduction (i.e. praxeology), not empirical observation.

Surprisingly Good Segment on Big Government by CNN
Posted by
Virginian Rebel
This is a great sign that not only is Ron Paul being asked for interviews on television nearly every day, but CNN reports on him as the primary voice for smaller government in America. I think I like this Carroll lady who did the segment. It reminded me slightly of some of John Stossel's reports.

Medina Garners Great Reviews

Writes the Houston Chronicle:
Debra Medina, a nurse by trade and the former Republican Party chair of Wharton County, often seemed the adult in the room, refereeing a quarrel between two children. At one point Medina, frequently a bystander in the crossfire between the big guns, snapped, “This squabbling isn't getting us anywhere.”Even in a conservative Republican primary, Medina's tea-party affiliations and libertarian stance are probably too far out of the mainstream to threaten her big-name opponents. But her presence and thoughtful, direct answers at least elevated the debate from a sandbox spat.
