Ron Paul won the CPAC straw poll, breaking Romney's three year streak, with an amazing 31% of the vote! (Note that the crowd in the auditorium at the time, there to hear Glenn Beck speak, largely booed him). Although a large portion of the Republican party remains in favor of big government and militarism, today's results mark a huge victory, and it shows just how large of an impact Ron Paul's libertarian philosophy has made on average conservatives.

I had the pleasure of seeing his inspirational CPAC speech live. I think this is perhaps the most convincing speech (especially on foreign policy) that I have heard from him.
