A US Senate minority (aka Republican) report was just released with overwhelming evidence that refutes the United Nation's claim that there is some sort of scientific consensus over the man-made global warming thesis. To start with, we should be immediately skeptical of any so-called scientific research coming out of the UN, especially scientific research which conveniently concludes that government intervention is necessary on a global scale.
Secondly, the actual science behind CO2 derived global warming is simply unproven and very likely wrong. The thesis is largely based off of climate models, which are known to be lacking in predictive power. The minority report provides some quotes from prominent scientists regarding the global warming hysteria:

It has no place in the Society's activities.” - Award-Winning NASA Astronaut/Geologist and Moonwalker Jack Schmitt who flew on the Apollo 17 mission and formerly of the Norwegian Geological Survey and for the U.S. Geological Survey.
