Dennis Kucinich Speech

Although his New Deal-like economic policies are terrible, at least Kucinich is a noninterventionist. From a libertarian position, I have to believe that Kucinich is far and away the best that the Democratic party has to offer. Deemed a "fringe" politician by his party, he was unable to secure the nomination over the Clinton/Obama duo. Never discouraged, he has become an unrelenting force in the House against the Neoconservative policies of war and the police state - something that everyone (except for Ron Paul) seems afraid to do. An additional advantage to Kucinich is the likely tax payer and private business savings that would result from a Kucinich foreign policy, which would put a stop to American warmongering and empire building.

Yesterday in Denver, Kucinich showcased his oratory skills at the Democratic National Convention - the only part of the convention worth watching. If the Democrats were smart and wanted to demonstrate opposition to Bush and the welfare-warfare state, they would have nominated the Congressman from Ohio. At least he would knock the warfare part out and restore some of our individual liberties. Instead, we have Obama who promises to perpetuate the welfare-warfare state despite his flowery, empty rhetoric. Anything other than bigger government, whether in the individual liberty realm or the economic realm, seems too radical for the American people to accept.
