Michael Scheuer is a 22-year CIA veteran and former Chief of the bin Laden unit from 1996-1999. He wrote the best-selling book Imperial Hubris: Why the West is Losing the War on Terror. Leaving the CIA, he has outspokenly critiqued the US foriegn policy of empire building and intervention.
