Good News on the FISA Bill and Ron Paul's Opinion

According to an article from truthout, Senator Russ Feingold from Wisconsin will filibuster the latest attempt from the House to eviscerate our civil liberties. Thanks to Feingold, the bill can be defeated in the Senate with only 41 nay votes. This is likely just a political move on Feingold's part rather than a stance on principle, but it is a victory for liberty either way.

Similarly, here is the statement that Rep. Ron Paul made to the House last Friday in regards to the FISA bill. As always, Ron is the only one pointing out that the bill is unconstitutional on many levels. Most blatantly, is the issue with ex post facto laws which are banned in Article I Section 9. The new FISA bill grants retroactive immunity to the telecommunication companies, which is clearly ex post facto.
